What is MIS?

MIS stands for magnetic image sensor.

This magnetic sensor is equipped with magnetic elements
(Tunnel Magneto Resistance) that change in resistance value
in response to the strength of magnetism.

Our newly developed IC has allowed us to achieve miniaturization (W16mm, T7mm), and it outputs an analog signal according to the amount of magnetism using an interface similar to CIS. Each element is arranged in a line in high density (100 DPI) with the scanning width of A4 size, so it can scan letters printed in magnetic ink on bills, and checks, or security thread as an image of magnetism at high speed and in high resolution.
