MIS is a magnetic image sensor that uses a magnetic element (Tunnel Magneto Resistance) to detect magnetic field change of scanned object in the form of voltage output change. It can get a visual magnetic image under a high scanning speed and resolution to identify magnetic characteristic, such as magnetic ink pattern, magnetic characters, and security threads on banknote and cheque.
